Respect Life Committee

The members of our parish family Respect Life Committee, in response to the Universal Church's mission to create a culture of life, are resolved to work together to defend the dignity of human life from conception to natural death, through prayer, education, and action. In this, we choose to be signs of hope within our community and culture.

As stewards of God's gift of life, our current focus is helping pregnant moms in need (ex. supporting Next Step Pregnancy Services), promoting/educating parishioners on the Catholic position on life issues (sharing USCCB brochures, facilitating discussion opportunities like Momento Mori) and participating in local Respect Life/40 Days for Life efforts (public prayer and outreach). We are also now an outpost for Sacred Heart Guardians, located in Minnesota, which is a ministry that facilitates a simple Christian burial for embryos who pass away in IVF labs.

Respect Life meetings are the 2nd Thursday of the month from 7-8:30pm in the Pastoral Center's Bride Room or via Zoom, attending the meeting is not required to participate in our parish events. We help host several Sunday Coffee & Communities throughout the year.
