Confirmation

• Holy Rosary School students will receive sacramental prep during their school day but are encouraged to attend the afternoon youth group sessions to dive deeper into the content in a more relaxed environment.
• Children not attending Holy Rosary School will be prepared during scheduled afternoon sessions.
• This is the last year that Confirmation preparation will be provided at High School Youth Group. If your youth is in high school and has not received Confirmation, please register them this year.
• All youth preparing for Confirmation are required to attend two one-day retreats and one overnight retreat. The Friday of the overnight retreat is a No School/Early Release date for the Holy Rosary School and the Edmonds School District. Bus transportation will be provided for youth and parent chaperones.

Our Adult Confirmation preparation is for adults who were baptized in the Catholic Church, and who received the sacrament of first Communion, but have not yet received the sacrament of Confirmation.

This is the final sacrament of initiation, through which a person comes into Full Communion with the Catholic Church. In addition to receiving the graces of the sacrament, those who are confirmed are also able to be Godparents, Sponsors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, receive the sacrament of Matrimony, and participate more fully in the life of the Church.
