1. Ministry of Celebration A.
Holy Rosary Choirs- Our traditional choir sings at the 9am mass. All
kinds of music from traditional hymns, including occasional Latin, to
modern is chosen to make the liturgy more meaningful. The music at the
11am mass is more contemporary, using guitar, piano, stringed
instruments, etc. Both of these choirs welcome new members. Contact
Susan Olmos, 778-3122 if you are interested. B.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament- We are fortunate at Holy Rosary to
have Perpetual Adoration. This means there is someone in the church
praying around the clock. Each person usually takes an hour a week.
There is a book on the altar in the side chapel where you can include
intentions. It is a wonderful opportunity for spiritual reading,
meditative or reflective prayers. A quiet time to spend with the Lord.
Contact Pan Smith at the parish office. C. Wedding Rehearsals
and Ceremonies- We have a group of women who are volunteer wedding
coordinators. They talk to the bride about 6 weeks before the wedding
and find out the particulars for this ceremony. They run the wedding
rehearsal making sure everyone knows their role and they are present
the day of the wedding to make sure everything goes smoothly. You are
given plenty of training for this. This is a happy time for all
involved and is usually a fun service to provide. Contact the parish
office. D. Ushers- These are the
people (men and women) who take up the collection and hand out
bulletins, help you find a seat and guidelines at Sunday and Holy Day
masses. Contact Maury and Patty Crum (206)542-8852. E.
Lectors- These are the people who do the readings, prayers of
the faithful, and announcements at mass. Training in public speaking
is given so you feel comfortable doing this. Many start with the daily
masses and when they feel ready, they move up to the Sunday masses.
Contact the parish office, 778-3122. Laurie Hatch is in charge. F.
Church Environment- These people are responsible for decorating the
church during the different seasons and holidays in the church year.
If this is your gift, contact Father Haydock at the parish office. <---Back
