FAMILY LIFE

This commission tries to plan activities that enhance marriage and/or family life.  Each week there is a column in the Sunday bulletin with information or activities of interest to our parish families.

  • Do you read the Marriage & family Life column in the Sunday bulletin
  • If yes, is the information helpful?
  • What kind of information would you like to see included?

Video tapes and books on family life, marriage, parenting, and general interest  are available in the Parish office. Several magazines are available either in the Church or in the offices.   Call Anne for more information.

Several Archdiocesan programs are available to help marriages and families among these are: Marriage Encounter to help strengthen good marriages; Retrouvaille to help marriages that are encountering difficulties;.  Beginning Experience to help those having a transition from a relationship through death or divorce; Divorce and Beyond for those experiencing divorce.  We also have a counselor available to help with any family or marriage problem. Call the Parish Office to make an appointment with Dr. Jeff Baird. (425)778-3122.

If you were not married in the Church—and wish to have your marriage blessed, please call the office for further information.

Those who have experienced divorce and wish to pursue the possibility of obtaining an annulment, please contact the office to arrange to meet with an advocate who can help you through the process.

If you are engaged to be married, please contact the Church as soon as possible and at least 6 months prior to your chosen date.  Preparation for this sacrament is required and time is needed to achieve this. Catholic parties must have celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation prior to celebrating marriage & obtain a current (issued within the past 6 months) copy of their baptismal certificate.

Do you have some ideas for family activities, marriage strengthening or other activities, please call and share them with the Parish Office (425)778-3122

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!  This year’s Easter basket project was the most successful yet.  We had more donations and volunteers than ever before.  About 40 parishioners attended the Saturday work parties and the 800 baskets were assembled in record time!! Because of you, many children were smiling Easter morning, and many parents were happy to be able to give their children a great memory!  The 800 baskets were received by the following agencies: Catholic CommunityServices, Blessed Sacrament, and a Little Red Schoolhouse.  Thank you again to all who support and help with this project.  God Bless You! Special thanks to Marlene Greene for years of helping

It couldn’t have happened without you!
